Scanner Problem

I have a Visioneer One Touch 5820 USB scanner I'm having a problem with. When I try to copy or scan something a widnow pops up telling me to: Please verify that you have unlocked the scanner hardware. The window goes on to tell me the lock is on the bottom of the scanner. I've looked high and low can't find. I'm running Windows XP on a HP Pavilion 525w computer. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
